Welcome To Issue 7

Welcome to issue 7 which is our second x-mas issue! I am astounded by how far we have come and what has been achieved. This is the holiday season. It is time to relax, celebrate all that has been achieved and mostly celebrate YOU – your gift of LIFE.  Even if things don’t seemingly look or feel good at this point, nothing is bigger than your life. So put your attention to where it is due – revel life. At Stellar Woman magazine we celebrate your life. This is the moment for you to shine. We’re here to inspire you to transcend any element of darkness and disempowerment by bringing you light in form of stories and knowledge so that you can learn, be empowered, thrive and shine.

Last time around this time we were just coming out of the pandemic and this year has been a year of understanding that we made for this and that we can overcome anything even the current economic situation. “ Don’t be afraid” was the message given unto Mary – Mother of Jesus by Angel Gabriel and it is a message we give you today. Live by faith and not by fear. “Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more, so that we may fear less.” Marie Curie.  Our creator has given us the potential to transcend all challenges that befall upon us. ‘This too shall pass and I will soar ” seems to be the underlying mantra of  the stellar women interviewed. Our cover woman Dr Maggie Kigozi’s story and life experience divulges this and is one to celebrate.  She is a radiant light that brightens up any area she moves into as you will observe that she laughed throughout the interview.

Dr Maggie is a medical doctor, businesswoman, business consultant, sports personality, an educator, Chancellor and board advisor on many both local and international boards and has done everything as single mother. As you will realise Dr Maggie brings a fresh, positive, can learn it and do it attitude to all situations even after the loss of her husband. She always seeks knowledge as is ready to adopt. What amazes me about this stellar woman is that she always spreads her wings to soar with others especially women. At 72, it seems like she is just getting started. She is as active online as she is offline. We continue to lift your spirit this season with Gretchen Casey’s life and work experience. She is a wife, mum, mortgage adviser and real estate investment adviser based in Canada (originally from the US) who shares her story from childhood. Discover how her open mindedness has allowed her to grow into an award-winning mortgage adviser that she is. Have a pen ready, for there will be something for you to jot down and reflect upon.  Dr. Shanessa Fenner’s interview will help to learn how to look deep and find YOU and use that knowledge to share all you have been given and shine. You will also learn from Dr. Jullian Zambon’s single parent solution for this Christmas, the post-pandemic holiday plan perspective offered by Christy Whitman will help you reflect and may be revisit your own plans. If you’re like many of us, don’t miss the Christmas food suggestions. Adopt something and surprise your guests this Christmas! Entertain the whole family with the Christmas word search by Hazel Kikoyo (our youngest contributor). Remember your well-being is paramount, you therefore cannot miss Dr. Catherine Jackson’s 9 wellness tips, the 10 must watch movies and much more. And if for some reason there’s nothing for you to hope for this Christmas and you feel like nothing may be coming your way, then read my article on having FAITH this Christmas.

We continue to celebrate our expert contributors who never stop to amaze me with the generosity of their time and knowledge. We’re grateful for Monica Bradley (money and business), Divya Parekh (expert positioning and book publishing), Ann- Justi (mind and personal development), Dr Catherine Jackson (mind and well-being), Christina Neal (health and running), Kim Volpni (intimate female health), Gabrielle Shaw (personal branding), Diana Mamedova (exercise – yoga), Nicky Hassaballa (life) and Farah Zaidi (skin specialist). Thank you ladies for sharing your expert knowledge so that other women can learn one or two things and be inspired, change, thrive and shine their light. We have new contributors starting in the new year and we look forward to learning from them and sharing their light with you all.

Christmas as always for me is always with family. I look forward to being present, reconnecting, creating meaning and memories. My intention is to be present with everyone during this time. Without presence, we cannot derive value from life. I will be going to church, to honour God my creator, I look forward to sharing gifts and surprising a few people that don’t expect anything from me (this fills my heart) and sharing a festive meal. I also plan to enjoy the city of London lights, to go for long walks in suburbs, visit London theatres, play boards games and for the first time I look forward to building my own Lego city and that will start with Paris. I always admire my kids’ Lego Monuments and for some reason I expect them to be willing to share at least one of their monuments with me but it is never the case. It happened once and it got broken and ever since then no one is willing to share their monument with me.  I will be embarking on the construction and I pray I can preserve through it as my kids never go to bed on the night of the construction until they are done and, in many cases, it is in the morning. What are you planning to do during the holiday? Will you have some time off?

If you’re wrapping up your wish list, check out and compare with what other women surveyed by the Stellar Woman magazine have on top of their wish list. The items range from wishing for a home for homeless children to having a Mercedes Benz. Whether it is something stylish or something for the stocking or peace of mind, have faith that your wishes will come true.

I am full of gratitude for each and every one of you who has been with the Stellar Woman magazine for all this time. We can only continue to grow. Keep thriving and shinning your light. Onwards and upwards!

Our top wish is for you and your family is to have a Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!
