Thank you very much Stella for inviting me to do this little recording of just what traditionally Christmas means to me and I’d like to share that and I find it a really exciting time. I really look forward to it. The build up is really important to me. And then of course the big Christmas Day, and Boxing Day and Christmas Eve. We used to go to church as a family for midnight mass— always enjoyed that, come back from there and have a meat pie and a glass of sherry. Christmas morning now, I still like to be around family that’s really important to me, and I like to see as many people— children, godchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones who maybe I’ve not been able to catch up with because we’re all so busy now in life. So, I love to see as many people as I can, to go to the grave in the morning. We then like to come back to the house and have a lovely traditional family Christmas lunch can sometimes mean sitting at the table for three or four hours, chatting, laughing, telling jokes and playing some games and you really feel like this time of year, you can be a big kid again, and just act like a big kid because lots of the wonderful Christmas movies just take us into the fantasy world. But, never forgetting that Christmas isn’t always a happy time for everyoneWe don’t like to see anyone left on their own. Our family has always been about having an open door and bringing as many people together as we can and just being all together and enjoying Christmas. It’s so important because we’re so busy now.
